That’s My Pizza – Fresh Italian Pizzas in Bukit Timah hawker centre

It’s not everyday that you chance upon a pizza outlet at a hawker centre in Singapore! That’s My Pizza is a unique concept started by two friends, combining Asian and Italian flavours in their hand-stretched pizzas. This stall is located at Bukit Timah Food Centre, at a stone’s throw from Beauty World MRT. The area is well-ventilated and the aroma of fresh and hot pizzas makes this stall hard to miss!

For those who stay around the Bukit Timah area, they offer a pickup option where you can pre-order the pizzas with a set pickup time. I found this option to be very convenient as it can be useful in cases when the hawker center is crowded during meal times and there aren’t sufficient seats, or if you have a house party and want fresh pizzas. When I went to pickup my order, I noticed that the pizzas were hot, neatly packed, and ready-to-go.

They have an extensive menu with a large variety of vegetarian pizzas. Their pizzas are broadly segregated based on the pizza bases – truffle white, rosemary garlic, special homemade, tomato and pesto. All pizzas are 10 inches and cut into 8 slices.

The rosemary garlic base consists of rosemary herbs and grass-fed butter infused together with minced garlic, and that gives the base a garlic bread taste and consistency. The portobello mushrooms were lightly charred with an earthy flavour and the pizza was light and chewy. The ingredients shone through in this Italian dish. Recommended for mushroom lovers.

The pesto base pizzas consist of their special in-house made mixture of homegrown hydroponic basil, pine nuts, garlic and extra virgin olive oil. The pizza packed a punch with a chewy bread crust and had a nutty and herbal flavour. The quality of their dough is so good that you don’t feel heavy at the end of a meal. If you like pesto, I’d recommend this base.

They have a lot of other interesting options on their menu including the Mala Portobello Pizza that i plan to try the next time. Their pizzas are highly priced for a hawker setting, but they compensate for it with their dough quality and premium ingredients. Their website clearly states the reheat instructions in case you don’t finish the entire pizza on the same day and that is helpful.

Overall, if you are a fan of quality vegetarian pizzas, and are eager to try out some new creations in the Bukit Timah area, That’s My Pizza is definitely worth visiting!
