Cuppafield Cafe: A Hidden Gem in Bukit Batok | Quality Food & Simple Vibes

The best cafe finds are the ones that you chance upon when you are out on a stroll. I stumbled upon Cuppafield, a cafe with a relaxed ambiance in the Bukit Batok neighbourhood during one such outing. The brightly-lit waffle signage at the front of the cafe is kind of hard to miss!

The cafe has a friendly and old school vibe and is quite spacious. Their menu mainly offers coffees, ice creams and Western cuisine. For the vegetarians, there are soups, fries and pastas that can be ordered as a meal.

They have a wide selection of cake and ice cream flavours at their counter. They are segregated into classic and premium scoops – some notably unique flavours were cotton-candy bubblegum, osmanthus oolong, ondeh ondeh, milo dino, bourbon vanilla, etc. We tried the Sea salt Toffee ice cream with the classic waffle. The waffle was crisp and light, and was good as is, but the ice cream definitely made it more enjoyable. The sea salt toffee ice cream had a good balance to it and the toffee aspect in it took me back to my childhood. Definitely worth ordering their waffles with an ice cream of your choice.

For my caffeine fix, I ordered the Mocha and requested for it to be extra warm. The coffee was brewed with the right intensity to my liking, without a bitter aftertaste and made for a very likeable cuppa.
Overall, this cafe definitely caught my interest and I’d be revisiting it for sure. For its non-GST, wallet-friendly prices, quality food and simple vibes, Cuppafield is highly recommended if you are looking for a cafe in the Bukit Batok neighbourhood of Singapore.
