Manchurian Club
The East side of Singapore has some good Indian-Chinese options along ECP, but those involve a train and a bus ride. It was nice to see a new restaurant called Manchurian Club open at Expo . The ambiance is soothing and the place is good for dining with family, friends or kids. Its proximity to the MRT is an added advantage.
The Orders
Soups are a nice way to set the tempo for the meal and we ordered the ‘Man Chow Vegetable Soup’. The soup was decent in consistency, but the portion might be a bit small in case you decide to share.

Our starters order was comprised of paneer and vegetables. We went for the ‘Pepper Chilli Paneer’ which was crispy and spicy. For the vegetables, we tried the ‘Dry Gobhi Manchurian’ which promptly disappeared from the plate in no time. Both the starters looked very similar in appearance and it was a tad confusing.

In the mains we had the ‘Vegetarian Hakka Noodle’ which is a sizable portion (for 2 people). Noodles and rice generally need a gravy based side dish and hence we ordered the ‘Vegetable Manchurian’ along with ‘Szechwan Fried Rice’ to complete the main course. The Manchurian gravy with soy sauce as the sauce base was delicious and we went for a repeat order of rice to finish it fully.

For the price point, the relaxed ambiance, the great food, and the convenience of its location on the East side, Manchurian Club is a recommended outing.
